Default How to install JoomVision QuickStart package

JoomVision provides quickstart package for each template which aims to easy to use and comfortable for users. It will help you save much time of installing and configuring if you plan to start your site from the beginning.

Installing Quickstart package is quite easy as you install normal joomla!. Please follow these steps:
    1. Download the quickstart package from JoomVision Downloads
    2. Now you will have 2 options:
      • Upload the zip file to your host and extract it using cPanel or other File Manger Tools if possible.
      • If option above not available, you can extract the zip file in your local machine, and upload all file to your host using FTP client program.
    3. Start installation by typing your URL to the directory you have placed quickstart files. The installation page should be appeared as normal Joomla! installation.

Follow the instruction step by step to complete installation process. While install, please remember to install Sample Database to have all JoomVision pre-set content, module and components settings.

After you have done your installation. Just rename or delete folder installation in your Joomla! folder. And that's it! Just refresh your site to see changes.

Hello, we have downloaded [JV_Sello_III_quickstart.zip], unzipped and tried a fresh install as per instructions above.

however we are getting this message.

    PLEASE REMEMBER TO COMPLETELY
    REMOVE THE INSTALLATION DIRECTORY.
You will not be able to proceed beyond this point until the installation directory has been removed. This is a security feature of Joomla!.
Click here when the directory has been removed.

This is a fresh install and no configuration has been updated.

    any help?

    HI Wdsl,

You need to remove or rename the INSTALLATION directory to completely.

I recommend you to rename that folder.

After renaming/deleting the installation folder, try just navigating to: http://yourdomain/

    Kind regards,
    David

    Hi David,

the error message we are getting is after we extract the zip file and place it on our server.. when we browse to the http://yourdomain/ this is that was the error we get. at this point we have not went through the install wizard.

if we remove the installation directory then we get a my sql error "database not found". this would make sense as Joomla has not been installed at this point.

to clarify the error we are getting is once we extract the installer files and browse for the first time to the site. the message seems to indicate Joomla is installed, but it is not at this point.

    thanks
    Nigel

Now please follow the my instruct to solve that issue:

    1. Restore the installation directory.
    2. Delete the configuration.php
    3. Browse to the http://yourdomain/ to install the quickstart package again.

Please get back to me if you have any issue.

It seems you didn't install the sample database.

Please kindly read "How to install JoomlaVision QuickStart package" again

Note in the step 3, you must install the sample database
