We wanted to let you know about a change coming real soon to our official website. We will be changing our domain name so that it does not include the word “joomla” in it any longer. Here is why we are doing this.

As you know The Joomla! ® name and logo is used under a limited license from Open Source Matters in the United States and other countries. It is widely known that Open Source Matters will go to great length to protect their trademarks. When you use a trademarked name in your domain url, you inherently risk losing that domain name should the company decide to pursue it.

Open Source Matters has contacted us. This decision is to protect the future of our content and most importantly the future of our readership which we hope to see increase daily. Our goal is for the customers to have high quality products that is useful to them each and every project.

We decided to make this change sooner rather than later so we can avoid any future issues. We hope that you will follow us on our new domain, twitter account and Facebook page.

No content is changing. The posts will be the same. The site will remain the same. And our products, contests and articles will all remain the same. We think you will really like the new name – which will be revealed once it’s ready to start moving over content. Until then, we will continue our works and keep on working hard to bring you quality products and make your experience at our community even better.
